Rome, the antic

Coliseum, TripSavvy
After 25 hours on the road and many stops, we finally arrived in Rome at 7am. We found a hotel: hotel centro . Amandine was a bit tired after this trip. Then Benjamin and Amandine went to work at the hotel, so they helped in the kitchen for lunch service. Meanwhile, Jade and Ophelia visited the historic center and went to see the Trevi Fountain. After a busy morning, the groups were overthrown: Jade and Ophelia worked to clean the rooms while Benjamin and Amandine visited the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and Piazza Navona. We then made a tour of the city by night to see the coliseum, the domus Aurea, the temple of Claude the divine, the arc of titus and the arcus constantini.

The next day, we just change the teams Jade and Benjamin work while Ophelia and Amandine are visiting the Borghese gallery (15 €). We swapped the roles and while Ophelia and Amandine are cleaning, Jade and Benjamin are visit the Etruscan Museum of Giullia (8 € / person) and in the evening we ate a specialty of Italy: the Bruschetta.

Vatican, wired.com
The last day in Italy, we decided to enjoy the city together and we visited the Vatican Chapel and Sistine Chapel (17€ per person). Then we went to the "best" ice-cream maker in the center of Rome (5€ per person). We filled our van with diesel to be ready for the next stage of our adventure. We watched the city from the heights until 8pm when we said goodbye to Rome and left for Berlin
