Madrid the warmth

We arrived around 9 am after 6 hours of driving where we spent three days in Madrid. As in Lisbon, we looked for our accommodation for the next days but also a little work for the following days. We went for a walk to Debod Temple. This temple is an Egyptian temple which was given to Spain. The place is beautiful but we couldn't visit the inside. For the evening, we went to see the people who were kind enough to welcome us. We helped the family to cook. We ate tapas this is a specialty there which is succulent.

Amandine and Ophélia cleaned the houses of the owners. Meanwhile, Jade and Benjamin were visiting the royal palace of Madrid (11 € per person). The royal palace was a structure in the center of Madrid. In addition, after visiting the palace, they went to see the changing of the guard which takes place only one day a week. It's really something to do, we recommend it. In the afternoon, we reversed the roles. Jade and Benjamin went to work: they worked in a fast food restaurant (40€). At the same time, Ophelia and Amandine visited the Prado Museum (14 € per person). This museum is one of the largest art galleries in the world. At the end of the afternoon, we all gathered and went to the Retiro Park. This park contains many beautiful fountains. We also went to Plaza Mayor, which is a huge bustling square. We went to a nice bar, where we drank a gazpacho with chorizo as an aperitif.

We got up early enough to visit the Madrid Zoo and Aquarium (€ 23 per person). However, to pay less, we asked people to come with us to pay as a group, which is cheaper. We spent all day watching the animals, it was very entertaining. For our last night, we slept in a camping area because the next day we took the road very early. indeed, we left Madrid around 5 and 6am and we changed the driver during the road so that everyone could rest.
