Berlin, the friendly

We spent a whole day on the road, the trip was long but we stopped on a highway and we met three young Britons who also made a road trip in the countries of Eastern Europe. We were able to exchange with them, it was a very rewarding moment. Our arrival in Berlin was slow and we finally arrived at 6pm. We spent the evening visiting hostels. Finally, the owner of a hostel was touched by our adventure and offered us a room to both of us as well as breakfast.

The first day in Germany, Benjamin and Amandine worked in the director wife's beer shop (90 €). Meanwhile, Ophelia and Jade were able to visit the Museum of German Resistance which is a memorial of the German resistance against Nazism. In the afternoon, we all gathered to visit the Jewish Museum in Berlin. In the late afternoon, we went to Berlin Tiergarden. The großer Tiergarten is the second largest park in central Berlin. In the evening we slept again in the hostel because the owner was really interested in the adventure we led until then.

A day later, Ophelia and Jade worked for an advertising agency to give flyers on an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art. In return, the advertising agency offered four tickets for the exhibition and a little money (around € 60). Meanwhile, Benjamin and Amandine had to see the "Fernsehenturm" and the Reichstag Palace. In the afternoon, we visited the Museum of Modern Art and we went to see the "Brandenburger Tor" which is the symbol of the city. When we got together, we went to see the "East Side Gallery". Then we went to a typical German bar and met young French people studying in Berlin. They made us discover the pretzels. We had a good evening with them and one of the French offered to spend the night at his house.
